Food and Beverage Supervisor/ C&B Waiting Staff - 40 Hours per week
Our clients Food & Beverage (F&B) team have the task of serving breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the year to clients visiting their venue for their business and social events. They have a main dining room that serves up to 160 diners, plus other function rooms and that’s not to mention preparing and serving staff food. With a wide range of dining experiences on offer, staff gain exposure to fine dining service at bespoke events and weddings, in addition to daily buffet and private dining room service. The team always work to ensure that the client’s visit is a memorable experience.
The role will suit someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service both in the dining rooms and the bar and enjoys interacting with the clients.
Hours of work:
Annualised hours contract, averaging 40 hours per week, working shifts as required including weekends and bank holidays. Day range is from 0600 to 0100 hours.
Key areas of responsibility:
Laying and clearing tables
Waiting at tables both in the Main Dining Room and at private functions
Serving drinks in the Bar
Demonstrating wine knowledge to help guests select a suitable accompaniment to their dinner choices
Undertaking duties in all areas of the F&B function. This not only includes the Main Dining Room and Private Functions but also satellite areas, the Still Room and glass polishing areas
General clearing down duties including cleaning of dining rooms, coffee areas, bar, still room and ironing of table linen
Ideally experienced in working in a busy catering environment
Good attention to detail
Proven customer service skills, Flexible
Own transport due to location/shift pattern
As this role involves carrying equipment, pushing trolleys and being on your feet for considerable periods of time, a fair degree of physical fitness is required.
Please note, the role is worked on a rota basis therefore the successful candidate must be able to work shifts covering a day range of 6am till 1am. Requirements will be worked averaging 40 hours per week including weekends and bank holidays. For this reason it is essential to have your own transport.
